Greece

We took several Digital Imaging and Photography students on a trip to Greece for Spring break. We had a wonderful time and got to Photograph so many amazing sights.

Olympic Stadium in Athens. This is where the ceremonial torch was brought when the Olympics was over.

The Acropolis

The Parthenon

There are so many stray animals in Greece, but they are taken care of by the local people.

Hydra was my favorite island that we visited. Most of the houses were white with beautiful blue accents.

The second island we visited was Poros.

The third island we visited was Aegina

We took the bus into the countryside, which is very mountainous. This is the famous village of Arachova.

Delphi is the most important archeological site in Greece. It was considered to be the center of the world. This is where people from all over the world came to see the oracle.

These are the musical inscriptions, hymns to Apollo. These inscriptions are the oldest written notations of a melody.

This is what marked the center of the world.

The museum at Delphi.

The first S-curve in the artistic world.

The beach at our hotel in Patras. This is the Ionian Sea.

Olympia is where the first Olympic games took place.

The theater at Epidaurus is known for its exceptional acoustics.

Tomb of Agamemnon was constructed in the Bronze Age during 1250 B.C.E.

The best fresh squeezed orange juice I ever had with a delicious pasta meal.

This gyro was SO good I don't think I will ever have to eat another.
